A ‘double strip’ means that there are two layers of existing roofing materials that have to be removed before the new long run roof and flashings can be installed.

The Swift Roofing team stripped the existing main roof and smaller roof areas of democrastic tile (tested negative for asbestos before our install team went in for removal) and then the underlying rusted old tin roof.

Then the brand new colour steel Corrugate profile long run sheets were installed along with the Trimrib profile sheets to the garage (both from Roofing Industries with all flashings from Roofing Accessories).

Due to the proximity to the Hauraki Gulf’s marine environment the Maxx coating was chosen - in Flaxpod, from Colorsteel.

The old metal and tile and roofing waste was cleaned up and removed and the owners were stoked. Job well done!
