Scott Donaldson - First man to kayak the Tasman
Mike supported Scott Donaldson’s successful third attempt to kayak to New Zealand from Australia. Donaldson made the attempt in 2018. Departing Coff’s Harbour on May 2, 2018, ten days later he reached Lord Howe Island and awaited a weather window before departing again. He ultimately arrived at the Port of New Plymouth in New Zealand on the 2 July, 2018, becoming the first person to kayak solo across the Tasman. He was resupplied en-route.
